What is your learning style?

Everyone has different learning style, by considering your own learning style, it can help us in gaining and achieving the learning goals easily. In fact I do the learning trick after I knew my very own learning style. But, some of you may ask me how to find your own leraning style. That's not really that hard. Now let's see how to discover your own learning style. Answer these following questions to know what learning style you can do.

• Can you learn English easily by listening to the music, radio, or podcast?

• Can you easily memorize something by listening to someone else? for example, when you have a test in the following day, you ask your friend to read the material for you in order to ease you to memorize the material.

• Do you like listening someone than paying attention to them?

• If you say yes for them, you are audiotory learner. My suggestion for you dear, listen much to your English materials, put in your mobile phone and listen to them, or you can record them,then listen over and over again. 

The next questions are:

• Can you catch the material well by watching videos, movies or tv programs?

• Do you find interested in learning much trough videos, color, pctures, diagram, chart or even nature?

• Do you like using color or symbol in your notes?

• If you say yes, you are the real visual learner. Try to find a cozy place to learn which serves you many visual media. You can watch English videos and movies, use color and unique signs in your text books, use attractive pictures too to ease you to memorize your material. 

The last questions:

• Do you like playing some games when you are learning English?

• Do you like using your physical movement when you want to remember words?

• Do you like outdor activities and observing things?

• If you say yes to these, you are kinestetic learner. You can play games or drama, or role play in improving your English. Go out and observing anything you want to learn.

English Radio Program

We have a English radio program at 104,3 Jazirah Fm Bengkulu, it is on Sunday, 4.30 p.m, unfortunately the Streaming is not working for now. Listening the program called Fun With English is so much fun, it can help me in understanding English, it also give me much information about English. I know about the scholarship from that program too. The announcer also gives some interesting websites about English. I love that program because it gives many great tips in studying English. But I think not many people listen that English program, many English students of mine seldom listen to that program as well. It is so good program, and I never miss that program.

Well, Do you have any special program about English in your radio? if you have one, maybe you can send the info here too, and send the streaming link if you have some.

Rock your listening ability!

Do you get trouble in listening?  take a breath for a while and release it, done it?, now it's time to share some hints how to make you get used to listening.

• Love karaoke? I personally think you will say "yes" to this. Karaoke is the marvelous stuff you can do to make your listening better. Pick up some English songs and sing together with your fellas.

• Have got mobile phone which you can put mp3 there? use it pal, put your memory card with a thousand English songs, videos, podcast etc. Don't waste your time doing facebook or tweeter only.

• Is your mobile phone a radio build in?, say yes. My suggestion to you dear friend, listen to some of English program. There are some radio stations provide English program.

• Again, internet gives you streaming for radio or program, listen to them and have a great time to improve your listening skill.

• Call your friends abroad with Skype or another application to do video conference. It's so much fun pal. Instal Skype or Yahoo messager to do this. Well, Facebook is also has a facilitate to do that marvelous stuff for you.
• Watch English movies, English talk show or English videos as often as possible. Sure your English will improve a lot that way.

Music is Awesome

What is your favorite music? whatever it is, listening to music can give you so much fun things. Besides your English will improve a lot, you can also refresh your mind, especially after having such tiring day.

Some music is design to be a refrehsing medium for your soul, Baroque music or classical music is one of refreshing music both for your soul and brain.
As a matter of fact, one of my friends did a reserach about the effect of classical music to students' writing ability. Her objectives were to find whether classical music can affect their writing ability.
At last she found that classical music can give good effect to student's writing. In some books, it's also mentioned that music can help us learning. It can help us relax and feel comfortable in doing our study.
Music is also bank of vocabulary. If you like listening to music, you can definitely get much vocabulary. Just download the scrips of the songs and sing along. Note down your vocabulary and use it in your daily speaking and writing.
Well, anotehr example of the good thing about music is increasing sale, but how come music can increase the sale?, have you herad music palying in the store, restourant, or cafe? ya, according the research music can increase sale in those palces. Slow music can make the buyer walk slower, buy buy more. But fast music, can make the buyer leave the restourant faster, and get another coustemer fast too.

Music is so amazing, don't you think?, go grab your CD or MP3 player and listen to your fav songs.

I love Listening Skill

Now let's move on to listening skill. Listening is an input skill in English.Phew! many people said listening skill is the hardest skill in English, but Hay! I love listening skill, it is so much fun and really challenging. Unfortunately, many people said that they mostly get trouble in listening skill than three other English skills. But you know what?do not hate listening skill because you do not know how to work with it. So, Be smart here, we can practice our listening skill by many fabulous ways. You can listen to your favorite music, watching movies, listening to podcast, English radio and tv programs. Wait once more, you can also listen to audiobook. Great right?  Well, listen to this, Listening gives us many great things too, besides you can learn pronunciation, vocabulary etc. yau can also entertain yourself.

Yup! Next time, we will see some marvelous ways to improve your listening ability. I spill the beans for you my beloved friends.
