Brainstorming is kinda important thing I always do before I begin my class. Brainstorming is an important thing to do before we get into the core materials. I always ask my students some questions related to their material that day. It is aimed to make the class run smoother and clearer. Giving some questions to the students is hoped can make them understand more about the material.
You can also give them some pictures related to the material, ask them to state their feeling, opinion or anything about the pictures. You can also give songs or games or riddles before the class is started. It can boost their confidence and make them more focus on your lesson.
Starting your class with a kind of music can be much fun too. You can ask them to seat back and relax a litle a while and let them stretch their body to make them more comfortable.
So, do not begin your class without brainstorming. Try to do it and make your class as meaningful as possible. Come on, let's start to be a communicative teacher for your students.
