More than 120 million motor
vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, and motorcycle) travel on U.S. highways. Most of
the people who drive these vehicles are responsible and careful. However some
drivers are reckless, and dangerous to themselves and others. Each year in the
United States, 50.000 people die in car accidents. Eight thousands of these are
teenager. Car accidents injure almost two million people every year. Some
injures are only minor cuts and bruises, but other are very serious. Some
accidents result in the loss an arm or a leg. Others result in paralysis.
